‘Burning hot’ stuff in my blog!

April 24, 2007

At last I was little happy that I am in my native for a week (off work!), but I’m telling you, it’s really getting hot everyday, that I wish I were in pluto(little exaggeration alright); blame it on this.

Well, talking about high temperature, I thought fiddling with some really hot stuff. No kidding – it’s about FeedBurner. Taking a ‘test drive’ on feedburner was on a second thought for me since my rss feed needs are quite fulfilled by the blog providers themselves. I was looking into some value adds from Feed burner, apart from it’s very nice feed ‘burning’ capabilities. and, yes, I did find lot many.

Among them, few that I noticed: apart from basic needs of ‘analysing’ your feed subscriptions, it also provides you tools (rather services) to optimize, publicize and monetize from your feeds! (Have to mention the ‘troubleshooting’ section as well).

From each section providing nice little pieces of services to add-on to your feeds, the steps were simple an right to the point. Have added the feed link to my side bar.

I quirky thing i liked is the ‘ad’ like badge called Headline animator.

[PraveenNET] ofcourse it’s categorized under ‘publicize’ section. ;)

Well, these are just a very little of the numerous under the hood features; it wouln’t be nice if I just list them all here. One nice set of ’services’ to browse through.

Few interesting sites…

April 6, 2007

Today, I happen to browse through sites since I got some extra leisure time! Here’s a summary of ‘em all!

Don’t Click it!
Ever wondered how it would be if you never wanted to click , you can experience the same here http://dontclick.it/.

It was quite interesting at first, but it happened that I started feeling, “Come on! How do I do this.. that..?” sort of questions. Anyway, it’s just a research and more over, it’s just a flash based web, couldn’t expect more.

Don’t forget to explore the entire website, they have lot of interesting statistics and tips as well!

19 things NOT to do when building a Website
I’m not a web site builder in the first hand, but was really fascinated to see what all could go wrong in the web site that I ‘develop’. This should be a interesting at least to know what you really like in any website that you visit!

The 100-Year-Old Photo Blog
I couldn’t stop thinking, “Man! Who could have had such a collection by them selves to put up a blog like this?” Anyway, for those who are interested in digging out the past, here it is http://www.shorpy.com
